53 and knicker free šŸ˜±šŸ˜†

Today was my friends 53rd birthday. We had a super day – coffee, granola, fresh berries and yogurt for breakfast. All great for a healthy start to the day. We had a spa experience which was incredible – massage, steam and sauna, solarium and jacuzzi. All the while we chatted about truly deep emotions. Our childhoods, our current lives, all very memory imprinted experiences shared by two vulnerable soul baring women, who discovered similarities and commonality.

How we were able to recall such vivid occasions and feelings in the warming and inviting meditation room is a mystery, because as the day progressed we forgot where we were meant to be for what treatment, how to work the water machine (she kept aiming for the cup and hitting her slippers) ….. I struggled to remember names of people she had introduced to me the night before and she couldn’t remember what film she had seen earlier in the week. The day was amazing but conversation got progressively worse – I forgot my mask which I NEVER do and then went to shower with no shampoo or shower gel. Eventually we went for lunch. My friend who shall remain nameless šŸ˜‚ then admitted that she had been unable to locate her underwear in the changing rooms and had to settle for going commando. She stood thinking and looking for some time before coming to the realisation she had actually left the house having completely forgotten her underwear šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ so we had lunch in the acceptance that all you can do in your 50’s, especially on your birthday is to laugh it all off and carry on having a bloody good time regardless.

Here’s to embracing the brain fog, memory loss and forgetting your knickers! Hurray for commando! Fifty +, fabulous, forgetful and liberated (doesn’t begin with ā€˜f’ but you get the gist šŸ˜‚)

So here my darling friend are a number of inappropriate knickers that I shall bring each time we venture out ā€œjust in caseā€ šŸ˜‰
