The Midlife Nurse

In my attempt at self reinvention I am trying a new hobby. GOLF! Came to it by accident – more through pressure actually! Anyway had a go to prove a point that I have no hand eye coordination and who knew! I can hit a ball with a stick. Not very well though. It’s a weird feeling 🙄 but I assumed it was a normal feeling and as a lefty with no sporting prowess whatsoever, carried on regardless assuming that I’d just be a rubbish player. Being able to smack a ball with vigour for every bad day at work, every crap boyfriend I had the misfortune to experience and every frustration as a parent, felt like enough. After a couple of lessons it turns out I might actually be better off playing right handed …. My first shots were as good as my left hand after more shots. So apparently tiger woods is a lefty who plays right handed and look how he got on with his sport (let’s leave that there) so watch this space!!
